Hi! I’m Susan

I’m a naturopathic doctor and yoga instructor based out of downtown Toronto. I love to take care of people so that they have more energy to devote towards their passions. I believe that when people are functioning from an optimal state of health, they can contribute to a more happy and enlightened society.

I’ve always been interested in medicine and helping people, and I originally moved to Toronto to pursue a career in nursing. After deep consideration of my philosophy on healing, I decided that naturopathic medicine, with its holistic approach and emphasis on finding the root cause of illness, would be a better fit. In my naturopathic practice, I use lifestyle counselling, acupuncture, nutrition and herbal medicine to treat a variety of conditions and help people feel their best. I take a special interest in mental and digestive health and I’ve seen the benefits of a natural approach in treating these conditions. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from Bishop's University, with a major in biology and minor in psychology, as well as receiving my naturopathic medicine degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. My education provided the framework for a treating with a holistic approach - considering a patient's mind, body, spirit and emotions. I aim to foster a caring and nonjudgmental environment for my patients, allowing them to connect to their truest selves. I believe that when people invest in their health and wellness, they can live more rich and productive lives.  When not seeing patients, I love spending time with friends and family, traveling, music and walking my dogs.
